Nathaniel C. Guest of Pottstown called Scott to offer his help after learning the line was endangered.Guest, 33, is a longtime rail fan. He holds a law degree from Temple University and a master's degree in historic preservation planning from Cornell University.He researched the line's history and compiled a report that Scott used in his quest to convince federal transportation authorities to turn down East Penn Railroad's request to abandon the line.
